VK - Veronika Kaufmann

Veronika Kaufmann was born in Baltimore and grew up in Los Angeles. She spent most of her adult life living in Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands, London and vacationing in Italy, Spain and Greece. Before becoming a writer, she was a professional ballet dancer, camera assistant, Assistant Director and producer. Her job in the film and advertising industry took her to locations throughout Europe, South America, South Africa and China. Currently, she is putting the finishing touches on her guide book "Pretty Different: you don't need all that money to look that good honey" She is also working toward her BA in English and American Literature, History and Global Economic History at the University of Vienna, Austria.

Veronika is a huge soccer fan and has been since 1974 when she saw her first World Cup final between the Netherlands and Germany.

Her other geek-abilities include languages, movies, fashion, pop culture, literature, classical music and anything mac-related. She lives in New York and Vienna.
